Just a quick question...

This card - Sapphire Radeon Toxic HD 4850
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102760)
says that it's core clock is 675 and ram clock is 2200.

Does that mean that when I plug it in it will be running at that?
or will I have to go in through the BIOS or something like Rivatuner and manually run it up to that?

That is a factory overclock. It will boot like that... You could try Riva or just the driver to OC the graphics card, but you wouldn't have to use either to get those specs on that card. Sapphire is a fine company... provided that the card doesn't mess up. They do have poor customer service.

Another question I have is what driver version to install with your card? Does anyone have any experience with ATI 8.8 beta for the Sapphire 4850? Is version 8.7 providing stable operation?
