Sapphire rx470 black screen, not booting

I got a new video card a Sapphire rx470. It has a one DVI port. I install it and the computer doesn't turn on.
It powers on but that's it, the monitor says not detected as if it's not plugged into my computer. However the fans on the GPU spin. I've tried another monitor same thing. When I pull out the power from the card, and use the onboard graphics instead it works again.

The computer is a Lenovo thinkcentre m7052 Btu
The slot is pcie
I have a 520W PSU
12gb memory
Core i7 (original came with PC)
1ssd
1hdd
No CD drive

1. Check cables from GPU to PSU, make sure the cables are snug.
2. Insert GPU into different PCIe slot and try it out.

Do you have another GPU to try? Also, try using another cable.

No, I don't think I have anything that fits PCIE.
Another DVI? I dont have one on hand, Id have to buy one.
