Is the price difference really worth it? I am looking forward to play the games on High to Ultra at 1440x900 resolution with at least 40 to 50 fps.. please inform me asap, and thanks in advance!

Also understand that my budget is limited, and it would take me a longer time to save up for the HD 6850.

P.S.: Currently the games I play are Battlefield 3, Medal of Honor: Warfighter and Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012
P.P.S: My computer specifications:
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: GA-880GM-USB3L
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1090T Processor (6 CPUs), ~3.2GHz

i am considering the benchmarks on this page:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/Catalyst_12.11_Performance/23.html

and then believing that both cards being the same "model" would have the same better performance than a "reference" card.

to be honest, i would not be surprised if the 7770 card you mentioned performs better than the 6850 you listed since it may overclock better with the GCN gpu. but that would be a little too speculative.

a 7770 would very close to the performance of a 6850. if the 6850 is that much more expensive for you i would highly suggest the 7770.

Are you just theoretically speaking or are you referring to the GPU specifications included?
