is the vapor worth 40$ extra? thanks

They're both good coolers. I don't think the 40$ premium would justify a slightly better cooler unless you really must have it.

Go with the Sapphire R9 290 TRI-X OC http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HJOXUKC. The Vapor-X is only marginally better and definitely not worth the price premium.
