Hi,

Trixx is not responding to custom fancurves.
I start game > fan goes around 50% > temperature still rises > fan stays at 50%(but should go higer in my fancurve) > close game > fans spin like they should be in my fancurve.
What is going on? Anyone who can fix this?

Thanks for helping out,

Specs:
r9 290 tri-x
i5 4670k
windows 7

8gb crucial ram

Solution
Just try the latest beta of AB, you won't be disappointed and you won't have to waste time figuring out how to get Trixx to work.

I'd also contact your GPU manufacturer and tell them you're hitting around 80°C but your fans don't spin past 50%--they may want to RMA or exchange it.

It's a simple phone call, just try it.
Non particular, also with stresstests. Really stock fancurves? So you let your gpu run to 80 degrees with 45 % fan speed?
I prefer my own, so thats why i'm using Trixx( msi AB suck imo) but as i said it is not listening to my fancurves...

Nah, i tried MSI AB for a long time, it didn't suit me(crashed my card suddenly).
When i play for example Tomb Raider and just let the fan speeds automatic be done by catalyst it gets to 77 degrees with around 42% fan speed.
When i set mine(with msi AB) to 55% it only gets 64 degrees, so... thats just history, now i need to fix Trixx, because it has worked( on other OS).

Solution
Yes, beta 19, i tried it already, and it crashed yesterday, when is was overclocking, for no particular reason.
So it is really not an option for me. May i ask your temps and fan speed? My card does go further than 50%, but not in Trixx.

My dual 270X's hit near maximum fan speed anywhere north of 60-65°C or so and once it gets back under 60°C the fans drop to around 30%.

AB probably crashed because you have Graphics Overdrive enabled in Catalyst Control Center--go into CCC, go to Graphics Overdrive, click Defaults and apply. Then try AB again.

Also, AB can't be running if Trixx is running/installed.
