Sapphire Vapor X R9 290 4GB or Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1050Ti 4GB GDDR5 PCI-E?

Hey guys, so I got two deals with not much of a price difference, one with r9 290 and one with 1050 ti. The one r9 290 has an e3 1230 processor while the one with 1050 ti 4GB has a xeon e5 1620. Gonna use them for gaming. Some advice on which one should I pick would really help. Thank you.

For high detail gaming the R9290 is a more powerful video card.
The processor and motherboard of the 1050TI system is better.
The 1050 will do medium to high detail @1080p
the R9 290 will do high to max detail @1080p

I would probably pick up the 1050TI system, and upgrade the video card later for another couple years life.

so if I buy the 1050 ti system now, I'll be able to go for like 3-4 more years, while, as the r9 290 is 4 years old card and would be in use since then, the r9 290 will have a shorter life, am I right?

Most likely.
The 1050TI full system is newer,faster(except video card)than the 290 system.
