Sapphire x1650 256mb AGP driver problem

Since my 6600gt broke in my old build I bought a x1650 from eBay. But when I try to install the latest drivers (10.2) this weird error comes up saying "install has been rejected due to system policy" then I press ok then installation goes on with no more errors. Then I restart but another error comes up saying "you have no ati card Installed or your using the wrong drivers for this hardware" and now I can't play my games and vista is not running in my monitors native resolution.

Did you uninstall the original drivers? It sounds like you are using the wrong drivers for the card.

Is it 32 or 64 bit Vista?

you have to uninstall all the components of the old driver and then install the radeon drivers

also, id get a new system althogether. if you are running AGP cards, you definitely need a new rig

are you sure you are installing the right driver?

ive uninstalled everything that has to do with my old 6600gt its just those errors are in the way I tried install 10.2 for vista 32 bit an doesn't work. I also tried 8.11 and 9.3 but still no luck. and im using 32 bit vista

Assuming you are using the correct driver

there is an excellent change the graphics cad you have is completely dead . No surprise really . It was made at least a century ago

No they do not have any Updates for Card on x19xx or lower

Only HD 2xxx or later
