following on from this thread:

Thread here

thought the fps drop had gone once i used driver cleaner pro but the dread fps drop in games (notably World of warcraft) returned...

here are my specs again

P4 3.0ghz
2gb corsair 3200 DDR400
Radeon x1950 Pro AGP 512mb
Gigabyte 8IG100MK mobo
450W thermal take PSU
ASUS vento good ventilation gaming case

anyway temp not the problem, power doesnt seem to be the issue, driver conflicts doesnt seem to be a problem anymore, what u guys think?

OS reinstall seems my last resort, agreed?

You most probably need a larger power supply, 450W isn't enough when I was doing research before buying the card... you need 550W to insure safe stability on your hardware.

I bought a 'Coolermaster eXtreme Power 650W PSU' just to make sure I had enough juice!!... Maybe you can borrow a high powered supply for a friend to test your system?!

GodClassy...

P.S. It can also get quite hot, so check those stats too!!...

you know what im an idiot hehe

basically my PSU isnt a thermaltake one that was an old one i used to have must have got stuck in my brain.

Found out it has 15-16amp on the 12V rail despite it being a 450W PSU, its made by ENHANCE btw

I heard people saying make sure u have 30amp on the 12V rail, well looks like i have half that

Cheers for replying so fast u made me double check things by mentioning the power, you do think its the lack of current then yeah just to confirm so i can buy a new PSU

Thanks!
