I have a HBA based on the LSI9212 4I chipset, it has 4 Sata ports,
Can i use a Sata break out cable connect the the Sata Ports giving me a SFF87 which i can connect to a Plate to get me to a SFF88 External cable, Run it into a second case where i revers it to break them back out to 4 Sata ports 1 for each drive thats installed there?

I know i can just run 4 Long Sata cables im just trying to make this look nice on the external wire part.

THanks
Steven

Solution
Yes you can.
You need a straight 8087 cable , two "8087 to 8088" brackets, a straight 8088 cable, and then your 8087 breakout cable.

LS I> 8087 > bracket <---8088---> bracket> 8087 breakout cable> 4 hdd's
