I have a 2006 Seagate 1tb HHD. I bought it used recently. The pc guru that sold it to me connected it to his pc for testing and said it was working perfectly. On my pc (linux or windows) it is not displayed as anything. Linux disk manager shows nothing. Windows disk management show somethings there but has no info about it. I can feel that platters turning in it. I can not format it or initialize it.
Can anyone steer me on this? Apparently the pc can recognize that there is something there but how do I get any info about its condition?
