Just bought a new MSI mobo and added a Corsair SSD. SATA 3 cable has a metal "flange" or clip on the cable end that attaches to the SSD. I removed the data cable from the SSD and now the "flange" remains inside the SSD case and I cant re-attach the SATA 3 cable to the SSD because it is "loose" and wont slide all the way onto the gold finger contacts. Any suggestions to make the SATA 3 cable attach to the gold fingers on the Corsair SSD?
Is the flange supposed to be attached to the SATA cable head and just came off when I pulled the cable from the SSD?
What purpose does the metal flange serve? Ive never seen a metal "flange" on a SATA cable head.
Thanks!
