SATA 6/gbs obsolete?

Not all motherboards have M.2 slots, SATA SSDs are currently still a fair bit cheaper and for most everyday uses are still just as fast as they can still provide data about as fast as the OS/application can process it for anything more processing-intensive than a basic data copy.
