I have a SK Hynix BC511 HFM512GDGTNI 82A0A M.2 SSD. I want to use it as internal storage for a laptop which doesn't have the necessary slot. So, I'm looking for an adapter that converts it into SATA. Any links such an adapter are appreciated.

If there is no SATA adapter, what can I do with the SSD? Just seems like a waste of hardware just sitting there. Even a USB 3.0 adapter would be fine (to use as an external HDD)

I am also confused about what type of SSD this is. The technical name (m.2, pcie, nvme, ahci, etc) and the slot type (m, b, m+b, etc). What kind is the one I have?

What you want is something like this.
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1448870-REG/sabrent_ec_nvme_usb_3_1_aluminum_enclosure.html

There are other brands if you want to go shopping.
