Question Sata Cable and SSS

So I bought a Sata cable 3Gbps .. one end fits into my SSD (860 Evo) and be the other end doesn’t. Do I need a 6Gbps for it to fit?

are you sure it's the data plug? the data one is smaller but the bigger one is the power one which plugs into your psu.

All Sata cables have the same connector layout, the classic L shape, just some connectors are short or are right angled. Have a better look at your connector and cable end and line up the L correctly. The rt angle ones may not be the right orientation for use on the motherbd end. I've run into that where they angle down into the motherboard when I was expecting them to angle up.
