Hi everyone!
So i just found some text on Seagate's official site about SATA cable's length.
http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/en_US/FAQ/182453en?language=en_US
It is stated that cables shorter than 12 inches are not recommended due to the timing and electrical interference.
It sounds kinda strange for me and i could hardly believe it, but the fact is that cables shorter than 30cm are pretty rare and it's difficult to find them in shops and stores.

So, what do you think guys?

The reference to Jurassic Park refers to the American science-fiction film made during the 1990s dealing with creating a "theme park" of cloned dinosaurs, resulting in disastrous results. Presumably it's an allusion by Nine Layer... to a pre-historic time which he relates to SATA data cables as being "pre-historic" by virtue of the "new" M.2 NVME SSDs that have come into vogue.

Incidentally, I might add (in response to your query) that we've installed scores of SATA HDDs & SSD's in myriad PCs over the years using 10" SATA signal (data) cables with no ill effects as far as I could discern.
