Question SATA current limit

I just purchased a HDPlex 500W modular PSU. I'm using it to build a NAS with 8 x 3.5" HDDs. The PSU has a 4-pin SATA socket with one +12V and one +5V pin (see pic below). If I split it 8 ways, would the current exceed the limit? Or shall I offload part of it by leveraging the CPU EPS socket? (based on the assumption that I can build some customized/good quality cables). Thank you!
