Just wondering if it matters which controller i plug the hard drive into on my mobo? I am running a single drive, no raid or anything, and it is in hd5. I've had no problems with it, knock wood, however, I hear rumors that a single hard disk should be plugged into hd0.
I have a Asus p5q deluxe mobo and out of the six sata connectors on the mobo, hd5 was just the neatest for my cable mgmt. Wondering it it matters. My DVD drive is in hd4 i believe, in case you need that info. Those are the only two things plugged in.
