Hello,
I just assembled the following components:
1. ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard
2. AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8120FRGUBOX
3. CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B
4. XFX HD-679X-ZRFC Radeon HD 6790 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
5. CORSAIR Professional Series Gold AX750 (CMPSU-750AX) 750W ATX12V v2.31 / EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
bios version is 0813
BIOS is not recognizing the following hdd:
Seagate ST310005N1A1AS-RK 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
a dvdrw is recognized in all/any of the sata ports.
I tired connecting the sata hdd through the case plugs for data and power, as well data aand power using MB cables. Neither way makes a difference. It's a new build, win7 pro 64 won't recognize the drive either(tried using OS install and searching for drivers to load a drive as well).
Any ideas? Think hdd is toast(I currently don't have another comp to test this drive in)?
