So I may have accidentally bent the metal where the SATA Cable connects to the actual HDD, the power is to it no problem, but without the SATA Cable attached to it, will the HDD even work? This is kinda a major issue for me right now because my SSD is full and this HDD literally has everything on it.

Solution

without the sata data cable. no, you won't be able to access the hdd

If you REALLY need the data and it's bent/broken off, you can send the disk to specialists for recovery, they'll remove the disk and get your data, if it's super important. Post some pictures of the connector, if you could

Unfortunately I can't post a picture, but what I've gathered from you all is I'm going to have to buy another HDD. The cable won't connect because one of the metal pieces is bent backwards so I can't even get to it. Well, there goes $60 I don't have

I have used credit cards to bend the pins back into place and it as worked well. Try and get a card that is the same thickness as the gap between rows. Just make sure you are extremely careful and don't apply too much force as they are quite delicate.

Yeah, thats what the issue is, Im going to have to get another HDD, haha just my luck. Thanks everyone for the speedy responses, time to go drink my sorrows in Fireball since I'm restricted to CSGO and Blade and Soul for god knows how long
