Sata II vs Sata III HDD

Hi guys, I have a desktop pc with amd 5600k apu OCed @4.1ghz with 7560D gpu 3x2gb ram @1600mhz and Western Digital HDD 500gb Sata II.
I am thinking to buy Western Digital Caviar Green sata III 1tb, but I don't know if I will see any difference in speed.What do you think it's better? Buying 2x4gb ram or an hdd?

SATA III or SATA II makes no performance difference with an HDD.

As far as RAM or HDD? Which do you need?

A SATA II HDD at 7200rpm may faster than a SATA III HDD at 5400rpm like the green! By drive if you need storage buy ram if you need more ram for a 64 bit system. Neither will do much for the speed except the ram will if you run apps that run out of ram.

@rolli59, @USAFRet I have over 150gb free storage, but lately I started doing rendering such Blender or 3D Studio, so I think it's better to buy ram, and someday I will buy HDD and gpu of course!

Yep rendering you will benefit more from ram upgrade.
