sata III on sata II mobo gain some speed?

okey so this is the scenario i have sata II hdd and sata II mobo im planning to buy sata III hdd
hoping for some speed up is this will work? even i use sata II cable??

it will only have a difference if you are using SSD (actually hard to notice on normal use), for mechanical (hdd) drives, no. HDD's barely use the sata2 speeds.
this is what i know at least.
if you want really fast drive, get an ssd, even a 120gb

hmm what if i raid 0 the two hdd even its a sata2 and 3??
*nvm my mobo not support raid xD*
