Question Sata port multiplier

Hello,
let's just say I supposedly only had one spare sata port available and I would've wanted to connect a SSD and a HDD.

Does there exist Sata port multiplier, like from 1 Sata to 2 Sata ports?

If not, at what alternatives am I looking at? Connect SSD through Sata and buy an external HD and connect it via USB?

And lets say m.2 is not available.

You're speaking of the SATA data cable?

A PCIe SATA adapter. Something like this one:
