Question Sata port not connecting?

Buenas diaz, I have an issue with my laptop motherboard, I took my 2.5" SSD without disconnecting the cable from the motherboard and a very small plastic piece flew out of the port, I have the piece and I'm trying to reconnect it onto the port which doesn't seem to be working. Is this a simple fix because now when I connect the sata cable to the main board it's not picking up on the SSD, gracias.

Show photos - plastic piece and port where you're trying to connect it. You may have broken something.
