Hey guys I am building a new pc and having to learn a lot of new stuff. I have found a motherboard I like but it only has 2 6gb sata ports and I plan to put in a ssd drive and a hard drive.
When I start up my pc I'm gunna need to install a operating system which will require a optical drive and another sata port but i can't have the optical, hdd and ssd drives all connected at the same time due to the lack of sata drives. I like to waffle I know.
The question is would there be a problem if I was to only use the disk drive one time to install the operating system. I.e. Put it first in boot order to load the os onto my ssd then switch out the optical drive and put the boot order to my ssd then hdd?
I would just love clarification on this as I won't want to have to get a 4 sata port mobo if I don't need to.
Cheers guys
