SATA ports are getting in the way of my GPU so it can't be seated properly

I have an Aorus GTX 1080 ti Xtreme and a Maximus VIII Hero Alpha mobo, my GPU can't fit into any of my PCI-e ports, SATA ports get in the way if I use the top two slots and if I use the bottom one the PSU gets in the way (as well as some buttons placed down there). How can I fix this? Can I solder off the SATA ports maybe? or should I do something else?

Solution
That shouldn't be an issue. Just push graphics card into slot until pcie slot latch closes.
You're probably putting it in angled position. Hold it straight.
How exactly are sata ports in the way?
Can you make a photo illustrating the problem?

I don't have a phone right now or else I would have taken a picture, the GPU is a long one and the end reaches SATA ports, the SATA ports are slightly higher than the pci-e slots so when I try to push down the GPU, the end of the GPU gets caught on the sata ports and because of that it can't go down enough to get properly seated in the pci-e slot.
