Sata Ports

Hi all!
I am presently building a 8z68 v pro gen 3 with i7 2700k - now using 7 of the available 8 sata ports, and need 2 more sata III ports for ssd's (raid0+1). Which controller would support my needs and perform as required without slowing or conflicting with the onboard sata?

Got to ask the question...what are you doing to use 7 ports now???

Raid 0+1 require 4 drives.......as well as
2 optical drives,
1 HDD,
1 SSD drive bay on front panel for load n go SSD
1 eSATA port on front
My mobo has 8 total Sata ports, 4 @ 6Gb, 4 @ 3Gb, and 1 @ 3Gb on rear panel.
I will use Front SSD bay for cad/presentations/video etc "Load n Go", so all are designated, and system is all out of Sata ports.

Can't you just use the one in the back as the 9th one?

If your case is a newer one from a serious gamer brand, there should be a way to thread the front panel cord out the back of the pC and plug it into the rear port.

My PC-K59 has holes in the back of the case designed for this sort of thing (and for external coolers).
