SATA Power Connect Caught Fire...

So I got a new HDD and SSD, put them in my case and plugged them in to the SATA power cables to PSU and the SATA data cables to Mobo. In the process I think I unplugged the SATA power from my CD drive in order to switch around plugs so they'd all reach. I then turned the PC on to, and I quickly heard a sort of pop and sizzle and saw some smoke through the window on the side of my case. So immediately I switched off the PSU and pulled off the side to check wtf happened. I could tell the smoke was coming from around the CD drive. I pulled out the SATA power cable from it and sure enough it was somewhat melted. Probably against all better judgement, leaving it unplugged I tried to turn the PC on again and the cable, now not attached to anything, caught fire and an actual flame started. Obviously, switched off the PC and smothered the flame. So for obvious reasons I did not let the computer continue running to see if it would self shut down, but as far as I could tell everything else was going like normal but I didn't check the monitor to see if it was really booting while this fire went.

So I have no idea if any parts are fried. Don't care about the CD drive really and it's connection port is obviously screwed. I don't know if I can like remove the SATA power connector and isolated the wires? Or just start with new PSU? The strange thing is it's a fairly reputable PSU being an Antec TP-750C with dual 12v rails...

Also, obligatory joke about putting my mixtape in the CD drive...
