[SOLVED] SATA SSD and PCIE lane

If I plug ina SSD to a SATA port, will it use up PCIE lane from chipset? Thx.

Nope, it shouldn't unless you're referring to an M.2 SATA SSD in an M.2 slot, in which case one or two SATA ports will be disabled. If you're dealing with 2.5" SSD's, then the ports will be native to the chipset.
