Hello,

Recently I purchased an M.2 SSD and installed it. After I booted up my PC I realized that my SATA SSD was not showing up in either the BIOS or Windows. I have tried different SATA cables and different SATA ports, to no avail. I have looked through the BIOS and I am unable to find a setting that relates to this issue. I'm sure it must be a BIOS setting of some kind.

System specs:

The SSD that's not working is a Samsung 750.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!

According to that, anything except SATA 0 should work.
While waiting for your reply I tried a couple of ports aside from 0 and none of them worked. I realized that the power from the SSD had been disconnected. Once I connected the power and plugged the opposite end of the SATA cable into port 5, the drive worked! Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
