I have bought a 256gb Crucial M550 SSD and wanted to upgrade firmware from the MU01 to the new MU02. But when upgrading its rejected with no compatible drives found!. I looked at the hardware under hard drive properties and its listed as Micron_CT256m550SSD3 and bios as N1126F which indicates its a Micro Sata but it is a 2.5" 7mm standard Sata SSD any Ideas whats gone wrong?
I have tried it in 3 different laptops. I am using it now on a i3 core Pavilion DV6

Hey there, Kevin!

I believe you should contact your SSD manufacturer's customer support or the reseller and escalate this issue. Since it's a newly bought drive, they should be able to provide you with a replacement. Just make sure you don't have any important data stored on it because you'd lose it.

Good luck!
