Thank you for your prompt replies, very encouraging.
I don't want to imply anything was normal. Just my M.2 HP SSD EX920 256GB on the surface seemed normal eg, 250GB in size, my legacy HDD was normal size and the data was as expected. But the Crucial MX500, was 50% full and I hadn't loaded anything to it! The system thought it was just MB not GB in size? On investigating looked at the drivers and event:
Device SCSI\Disk&Ven_CT500MX5&Prod_00SSD1\4&2f7850b9&0&010000 was configured.
Then investigated all 3 drives, eg, under the Update drivers they all referenced SCSI driver options not SATA? Is this why the Crucial is bizarre?
Motherboard ASROCK H270 Pro4
Can't find any decent support for ASROCK UEFI BIOS setup! All glitz and no substance.
Am thinking I should start again. ie, format the M.2 and the crucial.
