I have a Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce, and it requires a 6 pin and 8 pin connector. My power supply, the Cooler Master RS-500-PCAR-A3, only has a 6 pin connector. I have gotten a SATA to 8 pin adapter, but is it enough? Should I return it and get a Y cable that is 2x SATA to 8 pin? I may consider 2x molex to 8 pin too.
A link to the adapter I got: https://www.amazon.com/15-Pin-8-Pin-PCI-Express-Female-Adapter/dp/B01ECCVE9W/ref=sr_1_20?s=pc&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1499899236&sr=1-20&keywords=6+pin+to+6%2B2+6%2B2+pin&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011%2Cp_n_feature_eight_browse-bin%3A15562491011

The Evga 600 BQ is made Andyson( known for garbage quality psus) best to avoid it. When it comes to PSU OEMs Seasonic is one of, if not thee best around, while Andyson is one of the worst.

All of these options are very poor ideas. There's a reason this PSU only has a single 6-pin connector; it's a low-quality PSU, with only 360W total on the +12V rail, and even almost falls out of the ungodly loose ATX specs for ripple. It's not a PSU made to be stressed and used with an adapter. I would never try power this card with that PSU. Adapters are rarely good ideas.

Which power supply should I purchase? I don't know much about power supplies, and I'm trying to keep a low budget. I only need about 500 watts

you should never cheap out on the power supply

because it could blow up and take everything with it

good price on a good power supply

Is this a good power supply? I mainly want it because it's modular, and it seems that it has all the connectors I need.
