[SOLVED] SATA2 Device(SSD) not detected message, but it's working fine...

I installed a new SSD to my PC 15 days ago and it ran fine until yesterday. When I turn on my PC, the message comes up saying "Drive 2 not found Serial ATA SATA-2 Alert! , and "Press F1 to continue". When I press F1 Windows loads perfectly fine, and the SSD is working (it's listed in My Computer, Hard Disk Drives...)

It's well connected, everything is in place, and I'm telling you that the SSD works, I can use it, but the message appears.

I'm using Windows 7 (Still )

It's a Crucial SSD, I updated the firmware...

I believe you that it works after the post, but not while the BIOS checks it to boot from it. Maybe the power or data connection or the power supply is not that good anymore.

Replug the connections, eventually plug it into a different SATA port, use a different SATA data and power cable.

Which motherboard is it? Which BIOS version is on it?

Dell Optiplex 380 with it's original MOBO.

I just updated it and it didn't help ...

I googled for a solution and found out that I can't choose between AHCI IDE or RAID in my BIOS...

@helpstar I somehow fixed it ...

My SATA cable lock pin was broken on one side, I switched the sides of the cable, and I put it in my SATA 1 port.
