SATAIII HDD and gaming hiccups.

Hi (again) I have noticed that, since my last system upgrade (from quad Core Q9550 to Core i5 3550), that when playing games (Doom 2016 was the most obvious) I can see how the game suffers from little (0.5 or less seconds in duration) "hiccups" that I have never experienced on my old rig, that was much less powerful in terms of CPU, MOBO and RAM (I did pass from 4 GB DDR2 single channel to 16 GB DDR dual channel), also the HDD on which the game is installed is connected to a proper SATA3 header instead of being connected to a SATA2 header (as it was on the previous system).

I have installed the last drivers for the GPU (Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 2 GB DDR5 OC version) and for the MOBO (Gigabyte´s drivers and also Intel drivers for the 77 chipset).

I must say that with the previous Core Quad system I did a fresh installation of Windows 7 sp1 with no Intel drivers, and never have had those "hiccups".

I used MSI afterburner and RIVA tuning for GPU-CPU monitorizing.

Temperatures while gaming never raised over 55ºC for the CPU, neither for the GPU.

Doom 2016 and Wolfenstein The new Colossus both run never less than 60 FPS.

OS (W7 64 bits with last distributables installed) is on a SSD (SANDISK SSD 120GB 2.5 530MMBS ). Fresh new (April 2018).

Games are installed on a Seagate HDD (SEAGATE HDD 3.5 1TB BARRACUDA ). Fresh new (April 2018).

So, what do you think I should do to prevent this annoying "hiccups" to occur?

-Should I put my SATA3 HDD on a SATA2 header (I know it sounds stupid)?
-Should I uninstall those Intel Drivers as they were not installed before and the old system worked fine without them?
-Could be the MSI and RIVA causing those troubles?

NOTE: IDK if this could be important, but CPU monitor (W7 gadget) and CoreTemp togheter with MSI and RIVA make games unplayable, they run at less than 1 fps...

Update: fps suffer of a -3fps drop each 3 seconds. Checked with MSI afterburner.

Oh , I forgot to mention that I did tests to both hdd before posting. Sorry. No problems so far, neither on Crystaldisk. :(

UPDATE: I did one thing searching for answers. I run Doom and then press ctrl+alto+supr just to see if MSI afterburner was wrong about temps and CPU and GPU usage using Hardware Monitor program. And after checking that both programs were running fine, I took a look into the procesases tree and the Doom program seemed to be working fine, but...
When I checked the process to see if it was using too mucho CPU, I noticed that it was set to work in Low Priority. Also in the affinity tab (that I did not ever touched) I saw that the program was set to use ALL CPUs listed from zero to six (!), What is causing this?, I thought that programs' default set iis to work at Normal priority, and, what means that it use all 6 cpus?.
I set Doom to work at normal priority, using only zero and one CPU, and then the "hiccups" seemed to disappear!. Should I pass an Antivirus?, Looks that some program has screwed how some processes behave...
