So I had 2 External Hard Drives for awhile. Eventually they broke so I took the SATAs or whatever theyre called out of them. Today I got the SATA wires to connect them to my pc. I did that all and went on my PC to see if they're under My Computer, but they're not. I do see them listed under Disk Management and Device Manager tho. My friend says I have to format them to be able to use them, but I have too much important work on them (One device is 2TB and the other is 3TB). So basically I'm wondering how can I make the files/drives accessible so I can still have access to the work I have on them. I'm using Windows 8.1. I will include some screenshots below.
