save long cmd information

I had a very long CMD file.
I wanted to copy it in paint, but it was too long
and the beginning had vanished.

Didn´t know there is no possibility to scroll to the beginning of it.
Or can we scroll back somehow?

I actually tried that already, but didn´t succeed.
Would it be possible to show it in small steps?
I don´t know where the blanks are needed for example.

And I don´t understand what the word "pipe" means for example.
Like in: "On the command line you can route text output using | (pipe) or > or >>"
Etc
