Hi All,

I would like to know how to be able to clear the complete cache/history in Chrome on my Windows PC - but WITHOUT deleting the saved preferences for a specific website?

The site is a TV GUIDE page and you can hide certain infomercial channels to declutter the tv guide.
That's what I'd like to be able to preserve - so I don't have to keep doing it again and again.

If you click on the settings cog on the site on the top right of the guide, you can deselect certain channels - but can't log in to save this info etc.

here is the site

So any ideas? Is this the kind of thing that can be done in chrome?

Any ideas appreciated 😛

ciao

Dylan

Usually such settings are saved in cookies. So keep your cookies, but delete the history and cache (temp files). This may or may not work.

The issue with cookies is, they also keep tracking info from advertisers. They also keep logins for many sites.

Some browsers allow you to keep certain cookies when clearing the cookies. Look into this to see if it's possible in Chrome or not. It's possible in Firefox / Settings / Privacy & Security / Cookies and Site Data / Manage Exceptions.
