I have a laptop running Vista and a Laptop running windows 10. I would like to be able to save recovery files from my Vista to my windows 10 laptop hard drive and then use that to boot from to restore the system on the vista. Can anyone please help. I have named both computers the same name and have the same account name and password on both. And I'm signed into the same network. Password protected

Don't name these computers same - this is asking for (lot of) troubles!

From Windows 10 machine - open the share, and give the account you login with read/write/create permissions to both the share, and the files.

But - even you save "recovery" files from Vista - I am not sure how you can do that, and how you can use this during restore. OTOH, 32gb flash drives are like $10 these days...
