sb_pwr LED light always on even when i shut down the pc

i have noticed that the sb_pwr light is red and is always on even when the pc is shut down.
i have an asus z97-pro gamer mobo. i just got this new pc couple days ago and i dont remember seeing this light on for the first couple days of having the pc. the pc seems to run fine without any problems either.

No, that's completely normal. I have an ASUS motherboard, and there's always a little red LED on. It's nothing to worry about. If it really bothers you, just flip the switch on your PSU after shutting down, it should go out after a few seconds.

It's a standby light like the monitor. Tells you the PSU is plugged in before you go poking around It'll change colors when powered on and go red/orange when in standby on a power off.

If you're talking about the led on the psu at the back or inside the computer, like everyone else said. That's completely normal. it just shows that the psu and the motherboard and all the components inside are receiving power, it's like a standby led. if you dont like it and it bothers you, just simply unplug the computer or flip off the psu 😀
