I've been working on this build for the last few months and finally have it all put together and up and running.
I will primarily be using it for Starcraft II, any comments, suggestions, or "I would have done this instead of this" would be appreciated. I wanted a high end, but not top of the line system at the best price possible.
CPU : Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80605I5750 - $189.99
Mobo: ASUS P7P55D PRO LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard - $159.99
Graphics cards: 2 x DIAMOND 4770PE5512 Radeon HD 4770 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16(In crossfire at x8 x8 due to mobo not sure if it would have been worth the extra money to get a x16 x16 mobo, from what i read i didn't think it was) - $62 each
HD: 2 x SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB
7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5 (In Raid 0 Array) - $75 each (Included a thermal take external docking station)

Optical Drive: Sony Optiarc AD-7240S-0B SATA 24X DVD/CD burner - $21.99
Power Supply: PC Power and Cooling S75QB Silencer 750W - $69.99
Case: Antec Three Hundred Gaming Case - $54.95
OS: Win7 Pro 64bit
I used 3DMark06 to benchmark it (Any other recommendations for benchmarking?):
3DMark Score 17439 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 6791
SM 3.0 Score 8814
CPU Score 4358
Total cost: ~$760 with tax and shipping (I used mail in rebates and bing cashback on many of the items to keep the price as low as possible)
Thanks,
Bryan
