scam email tomshardware

Hi I received an email supposedly from toms hardware, it is a chance to win a voucher. It supposedly has my username for Toms hardware but its not my username, I assume it is a phishing scam. The email is from coles@tomshardware.com, with the subject Congratulations ,Here_is_Your_$500_Coles_GiftCard

I suspect you are correct. This sounds like a phishing attempt. Do not click on any links embedded in the message.

you may want to provide us with the information listed in the message and sender so we can forward it to paid staff. they may want to investigate it.

We haven't sent out any emails for "vouchers". Be sure always to use best practices when considering what to click and what not to click in an email.

The only email I've received recently that sounds remotely similar is the one about updated terms of use and privacy policy, which also mentions Purch Perks. It does not mention my username though, so it's probably a different email to what you've received.

Just received that purch perks one, only started seeing its suspicious after i opened it and read it just put it to spam and scanned 4 malware, hope im good !!!
