Scam in Chicagoland Area - MacBook Seller

Warning to those looking to buy MacBooks in the Chicagoland area,

There is a seller here that is selling MacBooks, range in all models, that will post a BestBuy tag saying that he/she bought it for X Dollars and is now selling them without the box for X-500 dollars, it will be a much older model. He/she is on Craigslist and the Offerup application.

i deal on CL quite a bit and while certainly uncommon there are still many questionable sellers out there. the best advice is to never take anyones word for anything and research, inspect and test items yourself.

I never buy any Mac or computer without booting it up and verifying the specs. Macs even tell you exactly when they were made.
