Seems like everyone that strolls in starts picking my money tree as soon as
they can.
In real life of course they would get a crack in the head and boot in the
butt, if not worse.
In the sims, it seems the only option is to ask them to leave - I generally
don't see many push/shove/fight choices, which I suppose are given as things
start to escalate from teasing to poking/shoving/slapping ect.
Just saying goobye in inappropriate because :
1) The felons usually just end up coming back and
2) It seems pretty un natutral to shake the hand of someone who just ripped
you off.

So whats the best way to deal with these dishonest folks ?
Or is it the games intention that you make these people happy with free loot,
and encourage them to stuff their pockets ?

There is a hack available from MTS2 that removes makes visitors unable to
steal your money.

I noticed that it was mainly the ones with the fortune aspiration that went
straight to the money tree, no matter whose house they were in.
Jack Sparrow comes to mind here...........pirate so definitely had to have
the fortune aspiration, lol.

Jay, I would suggest you keep the money tree/s in a room with no door, and
only put in a door when you want your sim to enter the room to
water/harvest.
I am interested to know if anyone has found a lockable door yet? that only
the selected sim can access?

I rarely use the money tree, I prefer motherlode. Muahaha.

I think Inge Jones has made some lockable doors. Check at
www.simlogical.com

seems to me the costs of adding new doors would outweigh any benifits from
the money tree.
Unless I'm missing something, the rewards from the MT are rather skimpy.
Even watered frequently and harvested only whe aspiration is platinum, the
most I ever noticed was under 200 or so, and usually much less than that.

Yeah I suppose that would simplify things.
My games remain cheat free so far.

Maybe you can speed things up by having a friend move in?
sometimes that helps financially and they can always move out when the
cashflow gets better

Also get your sims into painting, the higher the creativity points the
better the price for selling them

Ah yup..the money tree...it's a Maxis scam lol
