Scan and Repair function on windows 10 continuously restarting.

My computer was running very slowly and programs started to crash on a regular basis. To fix this I thought that I would use the scan and repair function that comes with windows. The scan and repair function however stops at 8 percent then restarts the computer essentially in a continuous loop. I was wondering if there is any way to fix this or will I need to by a new hard drive?

Probably need a new hard drive, you can try a clean Windows setup but that may fail also or just be a temporary fix. Make sure you have your data backed up ASAP if you have not done so yet.
