As you can see when it happens basically every other horizontal line of pixels goes darker causing a sort of scan line effect.
Monitor is ASUS VA24DQ. It is a 23.8" 1080p 75Hz Freesync monitor. It is connected to an EVGA 3070 XC via the display port cable the monitor came with. Freesync is enabled in the monitor settings and Gsync is on enabled in nvidia control panel.
Guaranteed way to cause it is to have very dark content on the screen. Only really seems to happen in movies in games and loading into the menu of The Outer Worlds is guaranteed to cause it so that's what I have on in the background of the video. I can take a screenshot of the game and if I look at it full rez it'll do it but at 90% or 110% size it won't.
If I drop the refresh rate down to 60hz it still happens but is nowhere near as noticeable. HDMI vs DP same thing still happens just not as noticeable since it goes to 60hz on HDMI. I've had this monitor since january and for the most part I was able to ignore it but now it's starting to happen more often and since I'm have way through the warranty I wanted to post again since I got no answers when I asked in january and hoping that maybe an answer might come now.
