Hi All,

In Windoze 98SE after an improper shutdown/freeze,scandisk does not run automatically like it used to - I do not want to re install the OS again as every thing else is working OK.
I have changed the options in msdos.sys (0,1,2 - no run, prompt, auto) several times but it makes no difference. It must be something in the registry - does anyone know or have this problem too.

Thanks in advance
Jim.

Don't know if this might help.
This is in Windows ME, I'm not sure if it will work in 98SE. (Been a while...)
Start Menu-> Run. Type in msconfig.
Go to the Advanced tab and make sure scandisk automatically running is not disabled.

Nope everything is enabled!
Thanks anyway man.

Try-Start/programs/accessories/system tools/system info/system config/ Click on Advance button under General Tab and make sure disable scandisk after bad shutdown isn’t checked.
