Does it have any win7 drivers? Download software from the website of whoever made it, or use Irfanview.

You should do the following:
Check the manufacturers website for the scanner drivers.
Identify the make and model number of the scanner.
Indicate the operating system you are using and whether it is the 32 bit version or 64 bit version.
If you are using Windows 7, you may ab able to use the Vista version if the manufacturer does not have a Windows 7 version.
