Scanning and repairing disk C stuck

I am stuck at scanning and repairing disc C with always at 8% completed and i have tried waiting 24 hours and the percentage stays the same while the spinning dots keep spinning, i have also tried skipping but when i skip the screen goes black and soon after the monitor shuts itself while the power button on the computer box indicates that it's on.

Could anyone please give me a solution?

And no there is no way to access the desktop.

Can you please try opening Command Prompt as administrator and then running the CHKDSK C: /R command?

If Windows gets stuck at 8%, probably there is some error in the disk.

If even the Command Prompt fails to repair the disk correctly, you can try any free or paid third-party tool such as EaseUS Partition Master, Ashampoo WinOptimizer, etc.
