I'm looking at both of these monitors right now, and they both seem pretty good. I don't like the sceptre because of the VA panel, and heard VA panels sometimes have bad ghosting, and it's 2k resolution which isn't that bad, but my pc can't run games at 2k above 100fps. The alienware is 27" which i'm pretty sure is the point where 1920x1080 gets fuzzy, and the price is like 100$ more. I like playing competitve games (csgo, RB6, fortnite) alot, but I also want more screenspace so I can stream, and also do school work a lot faster. Also because I edit sometimes it would be nice to have extra space. No matter what though, I will have a monitor setup, so I don't know if the ultrawide really matters or not.

Sceptre C305b-200un:

2560x1080 resolution
200hz
5ms response time
VA Panel
30"
FreeSync

Alienware AW2720HF:

1920x1080 resolution
240hz
1ms - 4ms response time
IPS panel
27"

Motherboard: MSI - MPG Z390 Gaming Plus
Cpu: i5 8400 2.8Ghz
GPU: EVGA 2060 6gb
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Ghz 16gb
OS: Windows 10 64x

Alienware is just dell in a fancy suit and is horrendously overpriced. Ive had a cheap sceptre curved monitor has its been solid for nearly 2 years with 0 issues besides a single dead pixel it shipped with and i was too lazy to exchange it.

Yeah, but I've heard VA panels ,no matter how good they were, always had some type of ghosting. That's all that really matters to me, so how bad is the ghosting on your monitor?
