I'm seriously considering this monitor. It's got specs that I haven't been able to find out of any other monitor in it's price range, plus, it has an audio output jack which is a huge plus for me.

I'm reading very mixed customer reviews about it on Newegg, though. Does anyone on here actually own this monitor or have any experience with it? Do you know of any other monitor that gets better reviews and has similar specifications?

The sheer number of bad reviews makes me cringe.

If price was an issue I would get the Acer AL2216Wbd Black 22".

I'm considering that one. It's just that the contrast ratio of the Acer is 700:1 where the contrast ratio of the Sceptre is 1200:1.

But, in the grand scheme of things, I guess it's better to have a monitor with a lower contrast ratio that actually has a working DVI port rather than a monitor with an awesome contrast ratio in which the DVI and HDMI ports fail in < 5 months.
